Volunteers for Christmas Day

Sunday 25 December 2016

Thank you for considering volunteering to help us provide an excellent day for our guests.

As we transport most of our guests from their homes and return them their at the end of the afternoon we require mini-bus drivers (max age 65) and car drivers.  We require people to help our guests from the buses to their seats in the hall and take care of their outer-clothing - and we require servers to assist with serving a two course meal - clear up - and serve a Christmas cake tea before the guests go home - with a Satsuma and a present.

For many of our guests the day is quite a highpoint in their lives and we try maintain that ‘special’ feeling.

Drivers need to pick up guests from 12.30pm - routes will be assigned - so as to be at the hall at 12.45pm. Mini bus drivers will need a ‘mate’ to help get people on-to and off the bus.

Servers should be at the hall by, at least, 12.30pm so their tasks can be assigned - it would be very helpful if you would provide, for yourself, an apron so as to protect your clothing from spills.
